Celebrating 5 Years of The Event Agency: This is Only the Beginning

It’s hard to believe it has been five years since The Event Agency (TEA) began. When I started this company back in May 2020, the world was in a very different place. Events were canceled, gatherings were on hold, and no one knew what the future of the industry would look like.
But I saw something else—a chance to shake things up, to reimagine how people connect, and to bring a fresh perspective to events and brand experiences. TEA was officially incorporated on June 27, 2020, right in the thick of the pandemic.
Starting an event agency during a global shutdown might have seemed risky to some, but for me, it was the spark of something bold and new.
From Virtual Beginnings to Global Brands
Like many businesses born during the pandemic, we started small—and digital. Virtual events became our first step. We learned quickly how to make online experiences feel personal, meaningful, and, most importantly, memorable.
As restrictions lifted and teams were finally able to see one another in person, we transitioned into organizing intimate retreats, especially for sales teams eager to reconnect face-to-face.
Companies like Costco Canada, Pinterest, Brother Canada, Lundbeck, L’Oréal, McLaren of the Americas, and La Vie en Rose trusted us to bring their brands to life. And we didn’t just deliver—we exceeded expectations.
Events Across Continents
What started as a small agency with big ideas has grown into a company executing activations all over North America—and even Europe. Whether it’s a product launch in Toronto, a brand activation in Los Angeles, or a corporate retreat in Portugal, we’ve been there. And we’ve brought the same level of passion and precision to every single event.
Each city, each venue, and each audience brings its own energy and challenges, but that’s what makes our work so exciting. No two events are ever the same, and we love that. It keeps us creative, it keeps us sharp, and it pushes us to keep evolving.
Mastering the Multi-Event Day
One of the milestones we’re most proud of? Pulling off multiple events on the same day in different cities. It’s the kind of logistical feat that only comes with experience, the right team, and a lot of trust.
In fact, we’ve done it more than once, and each time it reinforces what we already know—we’re not just planners; we’re producers, collaborators, problem-solvers, and innovators.
Managing simultaneous events requires more than great scheduling—it requires deep communication, a strong culture of teamwork, and a clear understanding of our client’s vision.
That’s what we’ve built TEA around, and it’s what allows us to deliver with consistency, no matter how complex the project.
Recognized Among the Best
We don’t do this work for recognition—we do it because we love creating moments that matter. But when the industry takes notice, it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.
Being nominated for two Canadian Special Events Awards was a moment of validation—not just for what we do, but how we do it.
It reminded us that creativity, agility, and purpose-driven work stand out. We were honored to be recognized among the top event professionals in the country, especially knowing how far we’ve come in such a short time. And we’re just getting started.
