Christmas in June
There’s something magical about walking into the holidays in the middle of spring. Outside, it’s warm and bright. Inside, there are wrapped gifts, garlands, and that familiar feeling that the most wonderful time of the year is on its way.
For Pinterest, the early start is part of the job. Every year, Pinterest Predicts forecasts the trends people will be searching, saving and shopping, and brands start planning their holiday campaigns months in advance. To help Pinterest’s sales teams share those insights with their clients, we turned two of its offices into holiday destinations: one in Toronto and one in New York City.
Same brand, same trend forecast, two very different experiences. Toronto was all about hosting for the holidays. New York leaned into the nostalgia of Christmas in the city.
The Brief
Pinterest wanted spaces where its sales teams and their clients could step inside the holiday trends instead of reading about them. Each space had to feel distinctively on-brand, show seasonal products across fashion and homeware, and spark ideas for holiday marketing strategies. Both activations also had to run for three weeks, staying polished from the first visit to the last.
The two activations also overlapped. From June 1 to June 12, both were live at the same time in two countries, which meant planning, sourcing and coordinating each one on its own track.

Toronto: Hosting for the Holidays
The Toronto activation was built around one idea: the holidays as a time to host. Pinterest’s trends set the direction, and we turned them into a space that felt bright, playful and full of ideas guests could take home to their own celebrations.
Designed for Holiday Decisions
The heart of the space was a lounge framed by bold blue, red and green display walls. Each wall showcased seasonal fashion and homeware pieces, paired with Pinterest insights about what people are planning for the holidays. Light blue velvet armchairs, ottomans and a glass coffee table gave guests a comfortable place to sit and take it all in, with red accents and peppermint ornaments overhead tying the room together.
Brooch Your Look
This station brought one of the Pinterest Predicts 2026 trends, Brooched, to life. Guests picked a favourite accessory and personalized it with a brooch in one of three styles: classic, collected or playful. It was a simple, hands-on way for guests to try a trend instead of just hearing about it, and it gave them something to wear out the door.
Choose a Tag and Make It Your Own
Guests chose a gift tag, stamped it with a holiday design and made it their own, surrounded by wrapped presents and red and pink beaded garlands. The station tapped into the personal touches people look for when they host and gift during the holidays. It was quick, creative and very much the kind of idea you’d save on Pinterest.
New York City: A Classic NYC Christmas
For New York, we deliberately took a different approach. Instead of repeating Toronto’s design, we chose a minimal, nostalgic direction inspired by Christmas in New York City. The Pinterest trends showed up in the details, from the gifting displays to the lounge décor, while the city’s holiday spirit set the mood.
Deep Reds and Classic Details
The palette shifted to rich reds and dark tones, with gifts wrapped in red and finished with velvet bows. A black and white striped pedestal held a tall arrangement of evergreen and trailing red ribbon, surrounded by stacked presents. Classic touches like a silver nutcracker and a paper Christmas tree gave the space the feel of a New York holiday window.
The Pinterest Holiday Mugs
One of the standout gifting displays featured mugs with a custom sketch of Pinterest Holiday in New York City. Set among the red-wrapped gifts, they captured the city’s holiday charm in a small, personal keepsake. It was the kind of detail that made the experience feel specific to New York.
A Lounge for Holiday Inspiration
We furnished and styled the lounge so guests had a place to slow down and spend time in the space. Accent décor tied back to the Pinterest trends and offered ideas for holiday decorating. The gift tag station returned here too, linking the two cities while the New York space kept its own personality.
Two Cities, Two Moods
Toronto: bright and playful, built around hosting, with Pinterest trends at the centre of every station
New York: minimal and nostalgic, inspired by Christmas in the city, with the trends woven into the details
Both: Pinterest Predicts insights, hands-on personalization, and a space designed for sales teams to share with their clients
Christmas in June, Delivered.
Across both cities, more than 600 guests experienced Pinterest’s holiday trends in person. Each space ran for three weeks, giving Pinterest’s teams time to bring client after client inside the trends. Toronto and New York told the same story in two different voices. That was the goal: one brand, adapted to the city it was in.
