A Trend-Forward Experience That Sparked Creativity

In January 2026, Pinterest partnered with The Event Agency to transform their Toronto head office into an immersive activation showcasing Pinterest Predicts 2026 Trends.


The goal was to move beyond traditional presentations and instead bring the trends to life through interactive environments that clients could explore firsthand. Each area of the office was reimagined as a distinct, trend-driven world, allowing guests to experience the predictions through playful installations, curated design details, and engaging activities.

From nostalgic throwbacks to bold visual expressions and candy-inspired experiences, each activation was designed to spark creativity, encourage interaction, and inspire conversation among attendees.


Through custom creative builds, interactive elements, trend-inspired food and beverage, and limited-edition swag, The Event Agency elevated routine meetings into dynamic and memorable experiences. The activation transformed familiar office spaces into environments that felt immersive and unexpected, reinforcing Pinterest’s position as a leader in cultural trend forecasting.


The result exceeded expectations, generating higher client turnout and creating a vibrant atmosphere that encouraged guests to connect, explore, and engage with the Pinterest Predicts trends in a meaningful way.

Designing the Pinterest Activation

Lobby Area – Throwback Kid

The activation began the moment guests stepped into the lobby with Throwback Kid, a nostalgic tribute to childhood memories and playful self-expression.

At the center of the space was a fully functioning claw machine, filled with curated prizes inspired by the Pinterest Predicts trends. Guests were invited to test their luck while selecting items such as gummy bear rings, vintage-style brooches, and carnival-themed earrings.


More than just a playful installation, Throwback Kid served as a celebration of nostalgia, reminding guests of the carefree creativity associated with childhood. The vibrant colors, whimsical details, and interactive game created an immediate sense of fun and curiosity, drawing attendees into the activation while setting the tone for the experiences that followed.




Small Meeting Room – Gimme Gummy

The Gimme Gummy room embraced playful indulgence and vibrant color, transforming the meeting space into a candy-inspired environment.

Guests were invited to build their own custom gummy bear boxes, selecting from a variety of colors and flavors to create a personalized treat. The activity encouraged creativity and interaction while serving as a lighthearted break between meetings.

Bright visuals, candy displays, and playful décor also turned the space into a natural photo opportunity, allowing guests to capture and share moments inspired by one of the year’s sweetest trends.


Large Meeting Room – Fun Haus

The large meeting room became Fun Haus, a bold and energetic environment designed to host presentations while maintaining the immersive theme of the activation.

The space was transformed with vibrant colors, playful design elements, and eye-catching visuals that reflected the expressive, maximalist spirit of the trend. While fully functional as a presentation space, the room also doubled as an engaging backdrop for photos and networking moments.

By blending functionality with visual impact, the space ensured that even formal presentations felt integrated into the overall experiential journey.


Phone Booth – Pen Pal

The Pen Pal activation celebrated the return of thoughtful, analog communication in an increasingly digital world.

Inside the phone booth, guests could assemble their own custom “Pen Pal Kit,” designed and produced by The Event Agency. The kits included retro push pens, Pinterest Predicts 2026 sticker sheets, custom postcards, and individual decorative stickers.

This station encouraged attendees to slow down and engage in a more personal form of creativity, crafting handwritten messages or keepsakes they could share with friends, colleagues, or loved ones.



Food & Beverage – Cool Blue, Cabbage Crush, Laced Up

The food and beverage experience was carefully curated to reflect several of the Pinterest Predicts 2026 trends, including Cool Blue, Cabbage Crush, and Laced Up.

Each menu item was thoughtfully designed to visually and conceptually align with the themes featured throughout the activation. From bold colors to unexpected ingredients, the culinary elements became another immersive layer of the experience, reinforcing the trends through taste, presentation, and creativity.


Photo Booth

To capture the energy of the activation, a custom photo booth experience allowed guests to select frames inspired by the Pinterest Predicts trends.

The booth quickly became a focal point of the event, encouraging guests to document their experience while creating shareable moments that extended the activation beyond the office walls.
